    Yes.

Because the only other realistic alternative is so much worse than 10s of thousands of deaths. He’s ALREADY responsible for more than 100 thousand deaths right here in the USA.

On the basis of the past performances of Biden, Obama, the Clintons and the Democratic Party generally, it is arguable that Trump is the lesser evil in this election. But lesser-evilism is a doctrine that becomes mere imbecility when the choice is between two stinking lumps of human offal that are creatures of the same filthy interests. It’s time to start thinking about the nature of a system that repeatedly presents us with false choices. Perhaps it can’t be otherwise: I suggest that at this point in history the presidency itself is an inherently corrupt and authoritarian institution. Like all other institutions, however, it’s a creature of consent: withdraw the consent, and the thing evaporates. Instead of voting for either of the walking corpses on offer, stay at home. A low turnout will undermine the legitimacy of the process and encourage the growing discussion of alternatives to it.

And you want to blame it on Biden?? Or suggest that Trump could stop it? HA!

Trump will continue to sow discord in the Middle East (and at home) just as he has done for the past three and a half years. Remember the jets he sold to the Saudis to bomb poor Yemenis? How he did not hold them accountable for their murder of Khashoggi? How he flipped the finger to the Palestinians by moving the embassy to Jerusalem? His negotiating an accord between Israel and the autocratic UAE ain’t no peace prize winning move, either.

Way to go Ted! You have no proof of your speculation, but you apparently have no problem with Trump killing of your fellow Americans, at a rate equal to another 9/11 every three days, and is now over three times the number of American fatalities in Vietnam. All because Bernie, who isn’t a registered Democrat, didn’t get the Democratic nomination. You’re depraved. On a more positive note, today’s art is a great improvement of your normal infantility.

Filling in the dot for Tramp means there is a small chance Ginsburg will pass away and be replaced by a proven incompetent senator Ted Cross, an immigrant Canadian and Tramp loyalist. Tramp will resign before he can be impeached again, be pardoned by Penny, and Melania, immigrant genius and anchor babe, will return to Slovakia with a good portion of Tramp’s GOP payoff- Slovakia having a far lower infection rate than the USSA, former first-world country.

Rall seems to believe that Trump would not get into a war, and in this he may be right. Trump is a coward, takes no responsibility for anything and owes too much to the Russians to even begin to endanger his personal wealth, such as it may be. On the other hand, his training in Mafia tactics puts him right up there with hit man actions such as the assassination of the Iranian general or shaking down other nations as he did in the Ukraine situation. People will die as a result of his actions, but that doesn’t count unless they are dying from military actions. Dying from starvation or wildfires or pandemic disasters doesn’t count in Rall’s book apparently.

    Mr. Rall:

With all due respect: there is no scenario in THIS election where 30% of Americans will vote third party. Period. It won’t happen. This is the choice we have, to buy time to get someone better.

If #45 gets elected again, we won’t get that chance. He is already talking about getting a third term, and his evil pardoned genius Roger has said outright that he should declare martial law.

Meanwhile, Maine has introduced ranked-choice voting, which is one of the means by which we can finally break the domination of the two main parties. Once used, other states can begin using it, as they have changed the way their votes are used for the Electoral College, to break the power of that racist institution as well.

There are numerous Democratic legislators and candidates coming in from the left, pushing for voters’ rights.

Biden is supporting many of these initiatives, and is putting a solid anti-climate-change plank in his platform. #45 isn’t even PRETENDING to respect that. He is ENCOURAGING people to harass anyone who won’t vote for him.

How long do you think ANY of this will last under a second #45 administration? He’s already sending mercenaries to attack peaceful protestors. He is following the Hitler playbook he has read about for years. And he knows that if he ever leaves office alive, he will immediately face major criminal charges. He has no reason to leave, and many to stay.

I have children, Mr. Rall. Perhaps you don’t. I don’t wish to have them living in a fascist state, or have to face armed revolution to restore some semblance of a peaceful American government. Your willingness to do so merely reflects your privilege. Ask anyone of color what THEY think.

More than voting for Ginsburg’s replacement.

Should Bunker Boy steal the election not only is it likely that he will pick Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s replacement, there is a good chance that 82 year old Stephen Breyer would go. Also, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito could well step down to make way for younger conservative replacements. We could end up with six of nine justices appointed by the orange dumpster fire.

Any and all that Biden would nominate to the Supreme Court would be Liberals.

100s of thousands of Middle Easterners have died in war and will continue to, as their entire history proves. tRump’s ‘deal’ made by his son-in-law bribed the UAE and Bahrain with promised weapons sales. They won’t be playing nice with more arms. Peace in the Middle East depends solely on the Saudis.

Bad use of the Trolley Problem, which as a philosophical exercise is problematic enough as it is. But the premise is false. Trump has lifted protocols intended to limit the killing of civilians, so more civilians are likely to die if he remains in office. Further, less than a mile from where I live, there is an encampment on the southern bank of the Rio Grande River where nearly a thousand people seeking asylum in the US have been staying, many for over a year. Many thousands more have been forced to return to dire circumstances. Many of those people have been killed. I know Obama was the deporter-in-chief, but Biden has promised to reverse Trump’s border policies. The choice is clear.

Ted Rall neglects (intentionally?) the provocative actions by Trump with regard to nuclear weapons and the inspections that helped with “trust but verify.” Not to mention the “Space Force.” As someone involved in the defense industry, and the consequences of nuclear war in particular, I find Trump’s actions (at the behest of some really idiotic conservatives) to represent a higher level of danger than anything represented by Biden.

Trump is not the sort of businessman who likes limitations on his ability to threaten and coerce those he deals with.

    Political assassination?

Yep, he’s been there and done that, nearly triggering a war. And actually triggering a response that could have killed American troops.

Lets just hope Bibi and Rump don’t cook up a little mid-east war to keep themselves in power.
