More than half the people who answered a recent survey said that they weren’t willing to be vaccinated unless they were convinced that the vaccine had undergone thorough and strict testing. Only about 30% of the ones who said that answered “no” to “Do you think vaccination is usually good or neutral?”

It’s like the clash between Marketing and R&D. Marketing sells something and then tells R&D to make it.

As in the Angel of Death’s handling (or lack thereof) of the COVFEFE-45 pandemic, science prevails at the finish line.

Don’t know how a course that mostly attempts to give a permanent shape to the equivalent of a bag of liquid jello can actually be called a science. There is no science when each individual has his/her own interpretation of the rules and their applications. Call it Political History and show how the process has been diverted and adulterated for personal gain over the centuries.

We all know how this race ended. The same way it will it will end in November. Or early December. By January, for sure.

Look at global warming, you see politics 1, science 0. Same with the EPA and other government bureaucracies.

I doesn’t matter how many people Trump’s vaccine will kill. He doesn’t care. With Trump it’s “No Lives Matter.” (except his “Precious”).

Its criminal the way Republicans kill Americans because they don’t ‘believe’ in science.

After yesterday’s revelation that Mr. Trump deliberately lied and downplayed the the threat of the Covid outbreak, does he really think anyone will seriously believe his announcement that he has a safe and effective vaccine? Or will we later have to hear how he knew it wasn’t really all that safe, how he knew it really wasn’t all that effective, only to be reassured that although he knew all that, but was trying to prevent a panic.

Not sure Americans are ready to trust a president that thinks injecting bleach might work.. Who pushes drugs (Hydroxychloroquine, Chloroquine) that don’t. Who says.. “What have you got to lose”.

The first one with a harmless placebo “wins”, while effective vaccines fight to keep up using slow, but steady science.

It is odd to see the left, usually pushing bleeding edge technology, turning thumbs down on the vaccine situation.

In our current situation we have 2 factors reducing the development time.

The first is purely mechanical. Go through some of the post-testing procedures now instead of later. Manufacture the vaccine now in hopes it will pass the testing. If it fails a few hundred million doses get burned and a whole lot of money burns with it. If it succeeds, uncounted lives are saved. The left has always chosen to spend huge amounts of money in hopes it might help people. Why not now?

The second is the steady advance of science. The chicken egg process was state of the art back in the 50’s yet is widely used today. Enter the many new processes for developing and manufacturing vaccines. Rather than have me butcher it by paraphrasing, please read this article. It will likely be a big surprise to many of you. It contains procedures I hadn’t even heard of until now.

Bottom line. Once you look at the advances in science and technology the idea of a viable vaccine before the end of the year becomes very realistic.
