Let me see a raise of hands of all those willing to be test dummies for a Big Pharma outfit willing to take its vaccine production marching orders from Trump.
Where do they come from? How does anyone who doesn’t literally live under a rock think that Trump’s “response” to the Covid-19 challenge was anything but a total failure of responsibility and judgement and a baroque display of incompetence? Imagine if after Pearl Harbor (which Trump only recently learned was the site of some sort of battle or other), FDR had sent an open letter to the governors of the states urging them to take whatever necessary steps to arm the US, enlist an army and navy and so on. We’d all be speaking Japanese.
I have to say; I have for decades lamented my intellectual limitations. There is so much I wish I could understand – fully grasp. Way back in high school I hung with the smartest people around, and marveled at their intelligence.
The whole MAGA scene, however, has made me feel like a flippin’ genius. I had no idea such a large swath of the population could be so gullible, so incapable of critical thinking. I have to remind myself that, by definition, half of the population has an I.Q. at or UNDER 100.
