Problem is, al Qaeda is more like a hydra.

^al qaeda is a network, not a hierarchy.

the interesting thing to watch is that in fairly well developed cultures, like egypt, people were demanding rights and democracy.

hamas and al qaeda and the taliban get footholds in cultures where are no services and are rotting.

to us they are terrorists but to the cultures they subjugate they provide health care, education and religious structure, so those cultures perceive them as benevolent.

^ There is a chain of command for alQaeda, but hopefully their finances have been hit a healthy blow by this.

    Not running things, harley?

Then how do you account for the hi-end computer room the US forces discovered when they broke into the compound?

This was no hideout, it was a headquarters.

If a fight IS going to break out over who succeeds Osama Bin Laden, I predict it will happen between Osama’s sons and his second in command and designated successor, Ayman Al-Zawahiri.

There is no such position in a structured organization to fight over. Justice/payback has been done. Nothing really changes.

“The Base” is widespread, but doesn’t have very deep foundation. There are other groups out there that may use the logo, but will find their own brand later.
