Indeed, the Enterprise is rather small, I can atest to that. I built the Enterprise in 1973 without directions. It came in a 8 1/2 X 11 box. It cost 9.50 not including paint and glue ( mumms on the glue experience).
So Star Trek is on and the Mercury flights are going on should be enough to decide where they are in time. I’d guess between 1966 – 1968. The Saturn V was already constructed by 1968 in the pilot for “Assignment Earth” being used to launch a nuclear missile platform. Would have been a spin off of Star Trek.
