At our church, the room where the ladies would meet for Sunday School had a “people-eating couch”. I made the mistake of sitting in it when I was pregnant. I’m only 5’ tall, and my feet couldn’t touch the floor if the couch had been new. I literally had to ask for help to get out of it. Eventually it was moved to the Youth Group room. It’s gone now.
Hubby has one of those recliners. The mechanism is half broken, he had to put it on lifts to get up out of it and I’ve offered to go shopping with him for a new one. Nope. His chair fits his butt so it stays ;)
