To be honest—Ernie Bushmiller wasn’t much of an artist.

Notice how the criss-crossing of Nancy’s coat are all the same.

That dude must have a nervous condition if he can mistake a bubblegum pop for a dynamite blast.

    Maybe he’s a combat vet.

A return to Go-Comics of sublime dumbness from Ernie Bushmiller!

In panel #4 of this strip, we have a Hover-Hat, an exploding bubble gum bubble, seven plewds, a levitating site safety officer, and three verbal elements which anagrammatically spell out “A Eggplant Snowbird.”

With just a two-word search for DANGER BLASTING, we obtain a “Dingbat Anglers!”

Must have been some powerful gum if it went “Pow!” instead of “Pop1”

Must be blowing hydrogen. I’ve never gotten more than a soft “pop”.

It gave him a flashback to when he was a POW.

I’d jump too if I thought that I was getting blasted in the butt.

That is a rude and insensitive remark. Try fighting in a war and see if you feel quite OK after risking your life and seeing your fellow soldiers maimed and killed. A-hole.
