    Panel 2 is one of the classic cut-and-paste Bushmiller images, probably from a photocopy of panel 3. (Early Xerox machines were available then, and photocopiers of other kinds had been around since 1907.)

    This technique was almost always cleverly applied… but led to early claims that Nancy was “drawn” with rubber stamps. No, just a fun little Bushmiller bonus techno-moment.

    I love how the mini-femme-fatales in this strip are 4 feet high but have the faces of 40 year old women. I know it was the style back then…
