A Pulitzer-prize winning reporter reports in a new book that, at the time of an UNSCHEDULED, SATURDAY urgent visit by the “president” of the United States to Walter Reed Medical Center in a motorcade that included an ambulance, the vice president had been placed on “standby notice” ready to assume the duties of the presidency if needed.
At the time, they said it was part of a routine physical, though it was not on the schedule, as all others had been, was on a Saturday, unlike others, and the vice president was put on standby notice.
The entire passage in the book was one paragraph on one page, which concluded that the actual nature of why Trump was rushed to Walter Reed “remains a mystery.” In other words, we don’t know what was wrong with the president.
So early the next day, Trump bangs out several angry Tweets, angrily denying that he “had multiple mini strokes” as has been “widely reported” by the “fake news” (NO ONE HAD REPORTED ANYTHING ABOUT MINI STROKES).
As Lawrence O’Donnell noted on his program, any time Trump suddenly and aggressively denies something that “everyone is saying” (when it is actually something NO ONE HAS SAID), the opposite is true.
O’Donnell concludes that Trump has just confirmed, by his own revelation of details no one else had previously asserted, that he was rushed to Walter Reed Medical Center due to a series of mini strokes (transient ischemic attacks).
Not fair. When a ‘toon attacks one of my preferred people in this manner, I usually pooh-pooh it as being not based in anything real. A agree that Il Douche is talking about dark people and other such speech that certainly seems to be disoriented and odd. But no evidence that he’s arguing with portraits.
Which reminds me of the old joke about categories of managers:
OK, let’s say we ignore the two handed grip on glasses and bottles or the toddering on the steps. Maybe it’s his age or an infirmity. Presidents have governed with worse afflictions. Now let’s remember the George Washington defending airports and the hundreds of other “Uh… Did he really just say that?” moments. Let’s remember the wild tweets and tirades of hate and fear mongering. Is this someone you would let babysit your grandchildren? Yet the Right Wing wants this at the helm of our political system. There’s the real problem.
And WHAT ABOUT THE RAMP TO THE U.S.S. North Carolina BEING COVERED FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER SO NO ONE WOULD SEE HIM BEING PUSHED ABOARD IN THE WHEELCHAIR???

I readily believe he’s slipping the bounds of reason. Mini strokes do that to people sometimes. My mother’s descent was accelerated by one. It didn’t last long but its effects did. I’m glad I knew what was happening and got the ambulance there.
When he was in France for celebrations of the centennial of the end of WWI, he actually asked his aids which side they were fighting for when they were supposed to go to a cemetery dedicated to a battalion of US marines. He ended up not going because of the rain. All the other leaders showed up, but #SwampyDon didn’t want to get his hair wet.
I am enthusiastically in favor of anything that incapacitates him, up to and including lightning on the golf course. If by chance the same bolt should strike Moscow Mitch, so much the better. I might even start believing in “God”…

Trump is a total psychopath. You have to ask why is he killing the USA with covid on purpose?

Nixon wandered around in the White House conversing with the art work on the walls, too. Or so it was reported.

“Person, woman, man, camera, TV.” I always thought Trump misremembered Dr. Zorba’s “Ben Casey” intro of “Man, woman, birth, death, infinity.”

Abe doesn’t have to say a word to win this argument.

Abe has asked today’s Republicans to quit calling themselves Republicans.
And Jesus has asked Republicans to quit calling themselves Christian.

Abe’s just a painted portrait. He can’t hear reason, or offer any of his own. Sheesh. You might as well argue with a Trump supporter.
