Our 13-year-old granddaughter spent the night at our house. When she awoke rather late the next morning, her grandpa was having his second breakfast – carrot cake and ice cream. Of course, cake and ice cream became her breakfast. Hey, what happens at Grandpa’s stays at Grandpa’s.

Now there’s an ‘I told you so’ look.

Us kids would always ask our dad to make peanut butter and karo syrup (corn syrup) on bread for desert. My mother never approved of his ever showing us that nutritional abomination.

It’s nice to know that she is normal……

Too bad it didn’t occur to her to just tell the kids that some things are only for grownups.

Nobody buys something as easy to make as frosting-in-a-can for frosting a cake. I think everyone who buys it eats it straight from the can, (keep it in the freezer)

Homer: “Psh—what are you talking about, Marge? Of course I’m a responsible father!”
