McFadden sure does have fun with his ‘tooning. And though I’m sure DeJoy is not the devil… and won’t do the things pictured, I do believe that he feels justified in tearing down one of the best things the USA ever did build… and doing it for his own profit.
Hate to say it, but Trump has been getting, um, “smarter” with his appointees. At first he just picked incompetents like Ben Carson and Rick Perry to run departments for which they were completely unqualified. But now, with people like Bill Barr and this yo-yo, he’s really doing some damage. He must be voted out in November.
If I was in charge to Post office would stop the stupid rule of funding their pension in full 75 years into the future. Two use the county clerks ballot drop box
The USPS does thing no private service – including the ones DeJoy is invested in (yes, of course he’s openly in a conflict of interest! Who appointed him?) – will do.
It’s parallel to public schools: they serve everybody, not just those who can pay for it. Or perhaps it should be compared to the army: it is a service, not a for-profit business.
The other systems get to exclude addresses. The USPS does not. You can send several ounces of letter to ANY address in America for the same low price – far, far, FAR lower than you would with FedEx or UPS.
And they would be fine financially had not Congress imposed some vicious requirements not found in any other government service.
The postal service is the only agency that delivers to many rural addresses that the for profit carriers ignore. Since the pandemic it has become increasingly important as they provide last mile delivery for many UPS, FedEx and Amazon packages. And the make a profit every year. What needs to go the way of the pony express is the outdated and misinformed attitudes. The Bush Admin place ridiculous financial requirements of the postal system to try and kill it. It didn’t work. They are still around and Bush is long gone.
It needed reforms and fixing long ago but our gutless ‘leaders’ just kept kicking it and several other cans down the road. Wanna talk about corruption and waste? My family members worked in the military industrial complex.

If he starts dumping his FedEx stock it’s a sign Trump’s plan is failing . . like his re-election.

Election rigging republicans are destroying the United States Post Office for their own political gain. They need to be thrown out on their ears.

I shop Amazon and Ebay all the time, and USPS is far superior to UPS, FedEx, and DHL at getting my items to me promptly.
