I had a roommate who broke up with a nasty gal that would call and hang up as soon as you answered the phone. So once I hung onto the line after she hung up on me. It could not break the connection. So when she tried calling out, she got no dial tone. She got ahold of the phone company somehow and they came onto the line. She denied calling and hanging up. But I told the phone guy that I could not tie up her line by calling her. She had to have called me. He agreed and that’s the last I ever heard from her.
