That’s the wrong question to ask. The issue is: Which one of them will ruin the country as fast as possible, without regard for anything except personal aggrandizement. Once you know who… I actually typo’d that to “what”… what does my subconscious know?… that is, vote for the other one.
Which is worse? Putting all my energy and effort into subverting the only chance America has of ridding itself of a wanna-be dictator traitor? Or clinging to the “all or nothing” perspective that if I can’t have the perfect candidate, I refuse to support an imperfect candidate against the worst candidate in history?
I get the point that dems, particularly in the 90’s were into the “law and order” mantra which ended up using prisons to sweep the effects of systemic racism under the rug. I’ve never been a huge fan of the blue’s “Rethugican-lite” attitude or policies. However, I agree with what Bernie Sanders says that the very concept of democracy is threatened by the Orange dick-tator, and the Rethugican Reich that support him. They must be defeated. What I hope NOT to see is an America so worn out and damaged by these past four nightmarish years that they settle for the “good ole’ days” of normalcy, instead of striving for real progress. Yeah, wild ideas about addressing income equality, universal health care, access to higher education, etc. Why do other nations have nice things, and we can’t regardless of party? Perhaps it’s time for a new party to emerge that’s not owned by corporate donors.
As much as I dislike the Democratic ticket and as pleased as I am that I’m not forced to vote for the lesser evil I think it’s beyond obvious that what’s truly racist is the Orange Buffoon, the Greedy Old Pricks and far too many of the people who vote for them. It’s too bad the GOP can’t be prosecuted for a hate crime for embracing the Orange Buffoon.
such decisions can be difficult for the pure of heart, keen intellect and highly moral. So let’s give it a think….hmm…mobs chanting “white power”, confederate flags, nooses…nope, it’s beyond me. I need Ted to figure this one out. Kind of like the conundrum of Ted’s fans who claim maligning Biden in no way supports Trump. the Trump campaign does that constantly and I thought surely they are working to get Trump re-elected.
Voting for the guy who loves certain russians, paid sex workers, and once knew a professional paedophile but now doesn’t, or voting for a guy who hangs out with Jamaican Asians?
I am just getting too tired to deal with this attitude from Ted Rall and his like. I hear the cry that “I don’t want to have to choose the lesser of two evils”, and I wonder if those people realize that they are a MINORITY. If you can’t get your positions recognized in elections, then just maybe your positions are minority positions. Deal with it. I have spent my voting years mostly voting for someone who was not my first choice because I recognize that I am a minority faction (pacifist). All I can say to you is that reality in a pluralistic liberal democratic society means that no one faction will call all the shots. I’s called real life, not a pipe dream.
Kamala Harris’ successful record as a prosecutor should be praised. The fringe element that wishes to empty all of the prisons is very small in numbers but very large in volume.
Help me out, here, Ted. What do you want to happen? Another 4 years of Trump? Have you given up being a revolutionary firebrand and signed onto Trump’s payroll?
More racist is voting against the candidates favored by most black Americans because you’re sure you know what’s best for them better than they do. It’s called The White Man’s Burden.
Which is less sexist? Voting for the guy with double digit allegations of sexual assault and NDAs to keep them quite or voting for the guy with one allegation and the “Me Too” crowd doesn’t want to believe her? Yeah it’s always the lesser of two evils in America.
It’s interesting that Ted ran a week or two of comics that didn’t mention Biden at all. He made some good points. He even criticized Trump! And then, suddenly, he turned around and resumed the daily Biden bashing.
Now, I’m not saying that Ted is told what to do by the editors of Sputnik magazine, where his comics are run. And I’m not saying that he was told by his masters to knock off the general political stuff and get back to the anti-Biden rhetoric they pay him for. But if that was the case, could any of us tell the difference?

Mr. Rall, you’ve gone from pretending to be fair and objective to outright supporting the Rump. Of course you won’t admit that.

How about this: NOT voting for the ACTUAL NAZI in the Oval Office?

Hey Ted:
No, you can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometime you find
You get what you need
One of two things will happen. We will re-elect the current president, or we will replace him.
One of the two candidates will win. One is a competent, reasonable human being. The other, an incompetent, disastrous, wretched human being.
A third party, or not voting may be the “feel good” option, but this time the nation’s well being takes precedent.
Vote Blue, even if that’s new to you. It’s important.
