Easy way to find out the liar. Just ask any guard, “When you were born was your mother there?” The guard telling the truth will say yes, and the liar will say no.
A wizard, a barbarian, a cleric and an elf are walking through a dungeon when they come to a portal guarded by a sphinx. She says “If you would pass through safely, you must solve my riddles three.”
Wizard: “Ahh”
Cleric: “Umm”
Barbarian: “Don’t sweat it guys, I got this.”
Elf: “Really?”
The barbarian pulls out his sword and kills the Sphinx.

Guard 1, if I ask Guard 2 if he’s the liar what would he say?If G1 says yes, that mean G1 is the liar.

Ask either guard what the other guard would say, then do the opposite.
Liar will lie and say the wrong answer.
Truth-teller will correctly report the Liar’s wrong answer.
