I love how “radical ideas” is a separate thing. Also, to be clear, Joe Biden has a public option instead of Medicare for All, and a smaller Green New Deal for his platform. So he doesn’t have to defend the GND or Medicare for All; it’s not their baggage.

Secondly, the Green New Deal includes Medicare for All, so they don’t have to be two separate things. A complete “gun ban” can only be done by amendment to constitution.

More important than this inaccuracy, much of what is listed as “baggage” is actually rather good and popular.

Most of that “baggage” is more often referred to as “background”… and “qualifications” to the folks who will be inclined to vote for Biden in the first place.
