And it makes me wonder whether Baba Mouse has such magical equipment socked away.

Been waiting a long time so just for fun, I went back and read all of the strips from the beginning.

I am now all caught up and waiting with breath that is bated for October 2!

Everyone’s so happy about waiting 2 months for the rest of the story! All I can say is NOoooOooOOoOOo!!! But I know Georgia has a priority with BCN and this was just a fun extra. And it IS fun! Which is why I keep wanting more!

Please, please, please put this strip out as a book. A real, arcane, solid, non-digital book. I would buy it/them. GREAT strip. Perfect snowy Sunday afternoon reading.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! I didn’t even mind waiting for 3x per week, but…! Ok, I’ll wait. But impatiently. Baba Yaga might be a relative of mine….I’m certainly old enough, although I don’t sport a cool glass eye.

Argh! we have to wait for 2 months to see how granny outfoxes the demons in the other dimension and rescues her family! I think I am going to have to try some black magic to see if I can get to that dimension, 2 months, argh!

Wait, Clover’s gonna return as an albino Salem?

Let’s see. Besides Salme and Clover in the center who is there.

1. Olwen in a wash tub with Hickory flying overhead. Well since Olwen left Hickory with Salem and took Pepper with her so they could communicate. So this looks like she and Hickory will be reunited. Hopefully this is a good sign that Olwen will comeback safe as otherwise Hickory is going to enter another portal. And who or what is that in the wash tub with her? Don’t think it’s Pepper, Georgia doesn’t seem to have showed the same character twice.

2. Looks like Grandma Yaga above Salem and Clover (okay, their great-great grandma Yaga since she’s supposed to be Olwen’s grandma). What’s the coloring mean? Probably nothing. Suppose it could mean she’ll be dead and that’s her spirit. However, this reminds me that when Olwen was first talking to Morbus about training Clover, he mentioned he thought she was dead. And Olwen’s comment was to the effect that she was still around. Which makes me wonder if she’ll be physically appearing. I’d made the comment Wednesday about forgetting Vesper was on the other side cause she could have helped Salem. But now I realize maybe Grandma Yaga could help Salem. Or maybe color has to do with folks on the otherside.

3. Above the weird chicken house, possibibly Rasputin, though the beard is a bit short. Of all the greyed figures this one seems the most likely to be a ghost. Seems similar shading she’s used for him before. Stupid grin could also point to it being Offal, though why so light in color if it is?

4. Pepper in the lower right. Again, greyed out which worries me a little. Could just be greyed out characters will be on the other side of the portal.

5. An Iskmaith skull and a human skull. Perhaps just two of the skulls in Mr. Wigglesworth’s brother’s collection. But the way their looking at each other makes me worry for Vesper and Mr. Wigglesworth. Hopefully I’m wrong and it is just from the collection.

NOOOO! That is an awful long time to wait for news from the netherworld!

If I were in a position to suggest to movie makers a resource to mine for major fantasy films… animated or live action… it would be this.

That is indeed one heck of a cliffhanger! I’m grateful I discovered BCN first and then this other wonderful world only recently, so I don’t have quite as long to wait! But as with all of Georgia’s beautiful and cleverly crafted creations, I’m sure it will be well worth the wait.

Skulls for the memories.

I think when we start up again we’ll find out that only 12 hours have passed for Salem and the rest. For Olwen, Clover, Vesper, Pilot, Winnie, and Mr Wigglesworth several years will have passed.

I wonder how Georgia is going to handle that in the story?

Will we get several weeks of seeing the years of fighting & hiding in the Ice Walker realm and then the return to Salem?

Or will the October strips start with Salem summoning them back after 12 hours and having Clover be three years older, Pilot as a young man, (Vesper with a couple half demon kids?) and then get the story of their trials and tribulations in flashbacks?

I just hope the rest of August and then September go by as quickly as May, June, and July seemed to. And I hope August and September don’t drag on forever the way May, June, and July did.

Yes I have totally lost my sense of time. It started when I retired the end of September, but now that my weeks are no longer marked off with Sunday for Church, Monday for Lunch with Friends, and Friday Coffee with Bookclub, I have no idea what day it is. And with no Monday Wednesday Friday Swan Eaters, I’ll get even worse. Thankfully Sundays are still Big Unconnected Breaking Cat News day or I’d have no way to tell one week from the next.

It almost looks like the team heading out is going to be experiencing more time than the ones that were left behind.
