Forty years ago, my husband and I used to be able to eat an XL pizza as a snack after going to the movies, now we can only have 1 or 2 slices, for dinner and we still can gain weight if we haven’t been working hard at something like yardwork or demolition. ;P
In “just a few years” Toby will be able to eat two pizzas without gaining weight. It’ll be more like ten years before he has to worry. In my case, I did so much walking in college that I couldn’t keep the weight on. Of course that leads to bad eating habits and weight’s a problem now.
Long gone are the days when I could eat a large 7 topping Pizza after school, go home, eat dinner, and still have space to eat dinner at my friends house. Mom used to joke that my legs were hollow! Nowadays, I get the $3 McDouble and small fries, and I am full, I also stopped going to the Chinese buffet because after one trip to the line and being full isn’t worth the $20 anymore. I know I should go just to pay them back for the hundreds of times I nearly cleaned them out!
Man, a bunch of lucky folks here, I have always gained weight easily. I look at food and get fat, even as a kid. The only time I was thin was while working my way through college, most of the time I couldn’t afford food. Poverty was great for my figure, though I don’t recommend it.
I’ve always had a weight problem. And it actually was a lazy thyroid, which is now clinically dead. Ugh. I used to get SO mad at my first husband and his brother. The two of them could demolish two of my homemade sky-high apple pies and not gain an ounce! They were by nature tall and lanky, guess that helped.

It happened to me at 25. Course, I didn’t moderate my eating habits till I was around 45.

I used to eat a whole large super supreme pizza by myself. Of course it depended on what I was smoking at the time.

was…you’re going to have to start paying for your own pizza.

I’m 58 and my metabolism still hasnt slowed down, I’ve even lost weight
Main problem I have is that if I eat like I used to (as in a whole pizza at once), my digestive system does things that no one wants described here

You won’t be able to get ripped working out 3 days a week for 4-6 months anymore either.
