You could create the kid side cards too – “You just don’t understand!”, “Things are different now!”, “Why can’t you just treat me like an adult!” … Then it would be like that joke … A guy just reaches his 65th birthday and joins an AARP club. He’s warmly greeted at the meeting and sees a large group of people enjoying drinks and having fun. Periodically he hears someone yelling out numbers “23!”, “57!” followed by laughter. He asks his sponsor what that’s about. “Oh, we’ve all been together for many years – so long that we’ve heard each other’s stories and jokes and so we’ve numbered them. That way we don’t have to keep retelling them”, she answers. “Go ahead and give it a try.” She suggests. Working up his courage the newcomer calls out, “22!” and is greeted with dead silence. In shock he turns to his sponsor who shrugs, “I guess some people just don’t know how to tell a joke.”

Whenever I hear ‘Were you raised in a barn?’ I say ‘Yes, and when I hear a jackass bray, I feel right at home.’
