A friend who is a traveling musician told me once that the one thing he REALLY needs on an airline flight is a tennis ball for the small of his back. Based on that, I took one with me the next time I flew. It was nice but not incredible… for me. But you might want to try it.

I had a friend whose dog actually did this. My friend’s parents suspected that was the reason.

What’s wrong with a good old-fashioned stick? Dogs are spoiled rotten these days.

I give my wife a massage using a racquetball. It spreads the pressure around more evenly and keeps my fingers from getting tired (I use my palms to roll it along). The rough surface invigorates the skin as it rubs its way along and also exfoliates some of it. It is a good thing the balls are washable.

The trick is to find a 2 week old dead possum and roll on both at the same time; kind of a kill two birds kind of thing.

My dog likes to roll in fox poo when we go for a walk in the woods. It’s disgusting.

A tennis ball is great for getting knots out of your plantar fascia (bottom of the feet). I find a myoball works best for my back and shoulders… it’s bigger than a tennis ball and made out of firm foam, like the rollers you can find at the gym or physical therapy center.

And by the time you’re about 11 years old, you’ll be needing 4 of them for a doggy walker.

I tried using a tennis ball like the dog is doing, under my shoulder. Never again, it made the knots MUCH WORSE.
