And so we’ve come full circle — today’s kids don’t watch TV either. They’re too busy texting each other to take their eyes off their cell phones for even a second!

I have a problem getting into the current day’s comic…….for instance…..I click on C & H, and it comes up on the date last saved, rather than the current day. This happens on about half of my saved (bookmarked) comic sites. Harrumph!

So, what’s going on with C & H? Did Bill hire a new artist at this point in the strip? I seem to recall that the daily strips returned to the original form, but the Sunday strips were still odd looking. Anyone?

These days & nights, I prefer more & more, watching the inside of my eyelids. . ..

@JazzyBella – Yeah, me & my dial up have been having some issues. The occurence of “upgrades” downgrade usage for some of us.

@Hobbes, when Coyoty said he could insert photos using HTML code, I did that and Photobucket has the code all ready for you. So I can insert an avatar into the text, but no one can create an avatar in the left margin yet. (Yes, I’ve written in about that.)Also, to insert a line break one may simply use < br > (with the spaces closed up, of course). This too is an HTML coding trick and it works.

So far I have had no trouble eitther entering or leaving the site by normal means on IE8, but that may be thanks to the fact I come in via a link I’ve posted in the margin of my WordPress blog.

I’d like an avatar! Clearly you’re the one who knows how to make them. Meanwhile Margeueritem is laboring invisibly.

Thanks Johanan. Can you tell us what HTML code to use to insert a photo from some other Web site? Maybe give us the Photobucket code as an example?chromosome: I don’t see a way to tag/search by tag in the new system. GoComics should be able to tell us whether they have eliminated that feature or will be including it in the future.

So, one unnecessary improvement ended up throwing us all into a tizzy over commas and italacs. Seems like someone is writing their own comic, and we’re all in it.

What did Hobbes watch today? He watched the birds fly, he watched the flower blossoms open in the morning light and he watched the clouds float by and that was just in the morning.

Speaking of which, what happened to the strip at this point in time? A couple of days ago it switched look & feel. Did Bill hire a new artist? As I recall the daily strip returned to the original look, but the Sunday strips had this softer look.

I’m 79 years old. I can’t remember all the helpful hints from HOBBES. I have an icon on my screen for GoComics, click it and it used to just pop up. Now I have to sign in with user name and password each time. Wish they had left things alone. I don’t like change! My Facebook is acting funny, too.

Web links are built in html like this: without the ! or – (which make an html comment). Here’s how that looks: Go Comics An image tag is built like this: (without ! or -) where “angry.gif” would be the full url to the image, and “Angry face” would be text that appears in place of the image if the image can’t be rendered. (In some browsers, the ‘alt’ text may appear when the mouse hovers over the image.)

The avatar problem started way before they started changing the site around. I caught on to it and left my alone. I like my little puppy, but I am ready for a new one, too. I have lots of cute ones saved up!

I have no problem on my laptop, but my work computer (yes, we are a lax office, LOL) gives me the error message. Must have something to do with the configurations. My browser is IE 7 or 8, my one here is 8 and I also have Firefox.

My 20 year old watches tv but he enjoys shows like Man vs Wild, sports, the History channel, Discovery. Right now he’s outside in this beautiful weather playing basketball.

Sorry folks, didn’t mean to get “windy” here.

So by removing the “EDIT” button, we can no longer travel back in Time to correct our mistakes? But if we “Delete” and re-post a comment, doesn’t that cause a discontinuity in the Space time continuum (of the comments space)?
