Another item under the “George Lucas considered…” category:

He considered requiring that Yoda toys be designed and manufactured in Japan.

When asked why, he answered that everyone knows that Japan has the greatest expertise in making toy Yodas.

I think he should have not just made Luke a little person but made him a little kid. That would have really made the stories interesting!

One of my instructors in college said George Lucas was inspired by “The Wizard of Oz” when he came up with “Star Wars”, so it doesn’t surprise me that Lucas thought about making Luke a little person.

I do not think Yoda and Skywalker being the same size would have worked, or if Darth Vader and Emperor were ten times Skywalker’s size. If Yoda refused to train him because of what would have been his diminutive size, perhaps a munchkin or oompa loompa could have.

I saw a 1928 Cadillac 2 years ago at a Concours in Montreal. Beautiful machine.
