Real hunters only drink beer.

Well, looks like we got ourselves a Mallard standoff.

Reminds me of Guard Duck from Pearls Before Swine.

If it looks like a pinot and quacks like a pinot, it may be a decoy.

Dang, no bang.

Methinks that these ducks need some “stupid human hunting” advice from the Wiley Bears!

The duck who said dang better check his tail gunner’s aiming point.

I am opposed to duck hunting, but support duck hunters. Go ducks!

This is not going to end well. The ducks outgun the hunters.

These mama’s boys need to go back to the office.

My boyhood memory of duck hunting in Minnesota is shivering while drinking my rapidly cooling hot chocolate as my uncle drank from his hot coffee and whisky thermos.

It’s quiet. To quiet.

Several young men went on what was to be a week long hunting trip. Everyone was supposed to bring some food for the common meals. They came back early as their supplies consisted of only potato chips and beer.

Three against two . . . love those odds! Hilarious, too.

Two glasses, looks like they were hoping for a double kill.

Three against two , it might not go too well for hunters .

This strip reminded me of a time back when I first started getting into birding, got all excited when I saw a group of goldeneye ducks swimming and started clicking away with my camera. Bunch of hunters in a nearby boat were laughing but I didn’t know why ’till later when I zoomed in on one of the pics and realized they were decoys!

Great big gun. Tiny little pinot.

I find hunters to be a little too gamey.

Reminds me of “Deer Hunter Revenge”, a PC game from long ago, in which the deer used beer and naked women to lure the hunters.

My mom came from a family of hunters: true Texans, hunting blinds, NRA,… the whole thing. She didn’t object, but believed that hunters should be required to dress like their prey, with fur and antlers. That does level the playing field and make it more like a sport.

I’ve long advocated arming the animals. Seems only fair.
