I’m ambivalent on SCOTUS at them moment, but I’m neither willing to believe they’re in Trump’s pocket nor that they’re going to hold his feet to the fire. Frankly, that uncertainty reassures me as to the institution.
^ All the more reason to persistently ask #45, “Just what are you trying to hide by not revealing your Tax Returns?” Aren’t you the ‘Greatest Businessman of the 21st Century?’ What would such a ‘Great President’ be afraid of?
This just means that the pseudo-republicans are going to have to work hard to rig the elections so that Trump can “win” and they can keep the Senate and flip the House or they will be facing investigations and harsh penalties. All in a day’s work for Mitch and his minions.
Trump’s best argument was that he’s the President and above the law. SCOTUS threw that out the window. Trump has fought with everything he has to keep his financial records sealed. It looks like the Manhatten prosecutor and his grand jury will get those records either before or after the election. Trump knows he’s in big trouble. Just look at the tweet storm.
In my opinion, the ScotUS Went as far as they could to delay, deny us a look at Trump’s taxes. Compare with court decisions on Nixon, or Clinton. Big difference, same question.
The flag interested me, so I checked: “It is a distress signal. If you are in dire straits, and need assistance, the US flag is flown with the Union in the downward position.” Dire straits, extreme distress: yep.
If I had a copy of his tax return in front of me I wouldn’t be able to make sense of it, anyway – better than Mr. Vance and his crew get the whole mess and turn it into “actionable” charges.
It is important that he and, more importantly, his various companies be called to task for his various criminalities (which was laid out in detail in the 2018 New York Times article that Mary Trump assisted in writing.)
Remember, his jumpsuit will be just as orange in a state prison as it would be in a federal prison – and, with any luck at all, his animal-slaughtering children will be joining him.

Yeah, they made this decision. But we still won’t get to see his tax returns.
