With me it’s hitting the FF button through the commercials, I hit FF, then promptly fall asleep, then wake up, rewind to what I missed, and then fall asleep again. It is at that point I will usually decide to either stand through the rest of the program, or just wait and finish it later. I find if I don’t stand up, the decision is usually made for me.
What’s annoying is when a cable channel repeats it’s programming every few hours. You nod off for just a little bit, and wake up thinking you’re at about the same point in the show. It’s not until you see a clock, while on your way to the bathroom, that you discover that a couple hours have passed, and now it’s time for bed.
