So says the GOP in Louisiana and elsewhere, while at the same time refusing to extend Medicare to the people who need it most, or food stamps or CHIPS or any OTHER form of aid to to the poor that would allow them access to ANYTHING that would make their or their children’s’ lives better .
That makes no rational sense at all. I was exposed to the “irrationality” of their thinking in the 1950’s while standing in line with my grandmother at the Sale Barn to collect commodities and hearing one bib coveralled man complaining to another that “…them ni**ers want everthang jest handered to em, ’thout working a tall!…” .
And their “logic” hasn’t improved in the decades, since!
