I had a bike just like that! Wow, I’m old.

No! Evel Knevel didn’t have any effect on kids in the 70"s! Guilty! How about his Snake River rocket gig? Can’t fix stupid !

that bike brings back memories, i had one the back tire was made like a racing slick, the handlebars like a motorcycle chopper. boy did i feel cool back then.

Umm, this will not turn out well….

With the ramp that far from the pool the bike won’t get into the pool but Red will face-plant.

Red watches too much TV.

Looks like the ramps we made when growing up. Dad always had some sort of building scraps around we used our imaginations for.

Red, wait!!! You forgot to put some toy buses between the ramp and the pool!

There are times when I wonder what would happen if Red and Calvin lived next door to each other.

And next the Snake River Canyon.

Two toys destroyed at one time, and a big boo-boo for the kid. Definitely a standard boy move.

A friend of mine is fond of saying “It’s amazing how many kids actually survive to adulthood.” I think she’s right in his case.

I had a 26" bike that my cousin tried to “ride a wheelie” on. Unfortunately, when he had the front end in the air, the front wheel decided to drop off and there was a trip to the hospital and stitches for him that day. I felt awful, but I never tried to wheelie a 26" bike so didn’t know the front wheel was that loose.

Rover, best you keep your eyes open, you may be in harms way.

Used to hang with my peeps and cruise our banana seat bikes. Jumped pallets at a shipping warehouse and rode dirt on the berms they built around oil tanks at the local port. We BMXed before it was a thing.

don’t think he will catch too much air / do too much damage from that distance.

Krate, not Crate. The kid with the orange krate ruled the neighborhood.

I had an Orange Crate Schwin Stringray in 8th grade. The Apple Crate was the same only with red paint similar to Red’s. Some had a springer front fork with 16” wheel and drum brake and the banana seat had spring shocks on the back holding bars to the frame. Other versions had same size wheel as the back with a regular front fork and regular seat supports, much like Red’s.

I wanted one of those SOOO bad but my parents bought me a “regular” bicycle. Still, I was VERY lucky to get that.

Rover can’t bear to watch. Red watched the Fonze do a similar stunt on Happy Days.
