Back when hate mail came in the mail.

Unfortunately, this was what Hank Aaron received when he started to get close to Babe Ruth’s record. And as I understand it, he sill receives some hate mail even today for breaking that record.

Aaron wasn’t the only one to be treated like that.

While the M&M boys were trying to help their team win, Roger was getting hate mail, death threats, and even a phone call with a threat to kidnap his kids. He got taunted on the road and at home, and he got booed whether he hit a home run or struck out.”

Harlan Ellison was an author of amazing stories. I read an article by him about FANS, he went into a tirade on how many of them can be just like Snoopy’s Admirer. Put new perspective on why celebrities hate some of them.

Luckily, it seems to be a secret admirer, Snoopy! :D

If that is an admirer, I would hate to see someone who didn’t like him.

This is quite telling – when Hank Arron was chasing Ruth’s record, the number of death threats he received was quite startling, with the vast majority of them racially motivated. The threats were so extreme and many of them so credible that as he closed in on the record he was assigned a permanent protective detail by the FBI. A very sorry chapter in an otherwise great story.

If I had a dollar for every letter I received that started “Dear Stupid” …

Snoopy has handled this troller in the most apt way.

With admirers like that the beagle needs no critics.

Maybe it was from Hank Aaron…

“Go back where you came from”? That letter must have been sent by Trump!
