That’s why my ex was (and is still) such a great surrogate Dad to my son, and his niece, now grown with kids of their own. Now it’s his brothers grandkids he keeps entertained. He LOVES kids. He’d rather be around them than the adults who can’t be bothered with playing with them on their levels.

Back in high school (I’m pushing 77 now) I made a vow to never grow up completely and, so far, I have done a magnificent job of keeping that vow.
