If the salesman were smart, he’d offer a brand new 3 year warranty on the toaster for an extra fee of $29.95.

Warranty? Waste of money. At my age, I don’t even buy green bananas.

Price and length of warranty is a measure of how long the maker thinks it will last before failing. And he knows it’s history!

Few things outlast the warranty, and an even smaller number actually last years past it. Our newest vehicle is 13 years old and still in excellent health. The oldest is 21 years old and also in great shape. Like us, they look a little dated, but you find a good thing, you stick with it.

Then you put in white bread. And you get out … white bread.

My credit card doubles the warranty on anything I buy so I’d have a whole 30 minutes of protection.

One of those 15/15 warranties, 15 feet or 15 minutes, whichever comes first. Company I worked for went with the 30/30 figuring the purchaser would be at least in the parking lot.

Next time you’re using it and it jams up, try using a fork or screwdriver to dislodge the toast. (Note to people who believe everything they read on the internet: Do NOT try that!)

I ran out of warranty years ago. But, I still run pretty good.
