My GM was a ‘Puritan’ and did NOT discuss, I was gone. Most of my family[aunts,uncles,cousins] were told not to associate w/me. Small town. I was devastated and it effected my whole life and that of my grandkids too. I don’t know how to act. sigh. ;(p
