Education is key to racism! Respecting, understanding others who are different, in race, religion and creed! I think it’s up to parents to teach their children as they grow up right from wrong and it’s not happening…this goes for all races…teach your children values, right from wrong, love, responsibility, educate…..

When you have a racist looney tune like Trump stoking the fires you don’t need matches.

In fact, the fires may be causing racism to grow.

When the video of the murder played across America it caused the overwhelming majority to come together. To agree that there is a problem that must be solved.

But after 5-6 days of rioting, looting, arson and murder, many people are having second thoughts. The daytime demonstrations are a wide mix of colors and communities. The nighttime violence is almost completely black. Especially the looting.

I’m running out of room. And this is ONLY the fire related damage. I excluded the “Property Damage” list.

Over 300 businesses damaged or destroyed. The vast majority locally owned. Many without adequate insurance.

Tell me again how this has ANYTHING to do with social justice, justice for George Floyd, justice for anyone. What does racism have to do with blacks looting and burning local black owned businesses?

And more about “the fires”. Let’s just see what the damage toll from social justice is around the country.

Running out of room again. Google the term “list of looted businesses”.

Please, don’t bother with the “supremacists incited violence” crap. The klan did not incite caravans of black looters to rob and destroy stores in Berkeley, or anywhere else.

The way to solve the looting, rioting problem is to figure out that the rioting is NOT the problem, it is the reaction to the problem.

Weeding the bullies out of the police department and putting in a psychological test for their replacements would be the first step in solving the rioting problem. My brother in law was a cop in a small Texas town. He was a bully in high school to the point of exhibiting psychological issues in the stuff that he did, and he was able to turn that hobby into a profession by joining the local police department

Our police should be carefully chosen, required to wear cameras, and any complaints should be reviewed by a citizen’s committee, elected by the citizens of the community. The police have a “thin blue line” alliance that means that cops take care of each other. It should be modified to mean that no one covers for a cop who has done something wrong. I understand that the police are not dealing with the cream of society on a day to day basis, and actual respect for the average arrestee can be a hard thing to muster. But, they need to understand that covering for a cop who is not treating the citizens they arrest with respect even when they least deserve it is actually putting every one of them at more risk. Any time a neighbor is treated badly by the cops, even if I agree that he is a piece of scum, it makes me distrust that I will be treated fairly by the police. Until the people of a community trust that they will be treated fairly, there will be riots, and the police have historically not acted in a way which created that trust.

Trump gives a speech about using the military against U.S. citizens at the same time the National Guard is using teargas and rubber bullets to clear peaceful protestors so he can cross the street and do a phony photo-op in front of a church. The bishop of the church condemned Trump’s actions. Republicans are defending it by claiming the group was asked to leave and didn’t; there was no evidence of this request and since curfew was less than an hour away, Trump could have waited and while he waited he could have contacted the church rather than just using them. Other Repubs are citing violence elsewhere and said a 5% possibility of violence is enough of an excuse to teargas peaceful protestors.
