Enough is enough and this is beyond enough. Yes…. the camel’s back has broken. There are people of all colors in these protests. The protests would be peaceful except that they are being agitated by far right-wing bully boys who want to start a race war. They better be careful what they wish for. Enough is enough!
I thought Ted gave up on this one so he could support Trump. Just kidding, I know that Ted and some others think that Biden and Trump are indistinguishable. It seems they can’t distinguish between a man talking face to face and a President calling for “the National Guard to “dominate” protesters”, “to get much tougher” and “You’ve got to arrest people, you have to track people, you have to put them in jail for 10 years". Trump applauds violence by the police. Trump applauds violence by his supporters. Trump applauds when directed at his opponents.
I grew up in the LA area covered by the COP’s “Foothill Division,” you know the station the guys who beat the crap outta Rodney King came from?…. In fact he was beat up only about 5 miles from my house…. Foothill Division COPs were always known as bullies… and that’s where they trained the new COPs too.
I once had a Foothill Division COP follow me all the way home after playing tennis at a local public court…. I was wearing tennis whites with my Jimmy Connor white tennis shoes…. they start yelling at my brother when he got out of the car. I politely asked them what the problem was and they immediately turned on me and asked for my driver’s licence. They then found that I had an outstanding warrant (that I didn’t know about) for lapse of vehicle registration for a car I no longer owned. They pushed me around, handcuffed me behind my back right there in my driveway and then pushed me into the back of the patrol car. I offered no resistance or lip…. I did what I’d been told to do by others who had run-ins with Foothill Division…. I kept my mouth shut….
Sitting on my handcuffed hands really hurt especially when the car hit a bump. The COPs bantered and tried to taunt me saying things like: “maybe we should go to lunch at some nice restaurant and leave him to sweat in the back of the patrol car”…. I said nothing…
When we got inside Foothill Division, the other COPs teased the arresting COPs, saying… “What did he do, steal some tennis balls?”…. My brother bailed me out a few hours later… When I went to court, somebody broke into my car and stole my USPS uniform and my check book…. The COPs can follow me home…. but they can’t even watch over their own court’s parking lot???
Oh… and BTW…. I’m white… just think how they treat blacks…. yeah we already know….. Rodney King…. NO WE CAN’T JUST ALL GET ALONG! Every bully COP and racist COP must be fired AND prosecuted for their crimes!
“Normal” meaning all too often storm troopers. I was expecting better from Rall. So far no editorial cartoonist at GoComics appears capable of capturing the enormity of what is going on across the US.
