I prefer a country music station, and the clock radio across the bedroom. That always gets me out of bed pretty fast since I don’t care for that kind of music.
At least with an old wind up alarm clock the alarm would only last for a short while and then run down, as it had a separate spring to wind up. Of course, then the ticking might keep you from getting back to sleep.

The little “dots” separating the hour and minutes have disappeared on our clock. I must have smacked it pretty good! :)
