SARS-CoV-2 is not going to be going away, and even a vaccine is not necessarily going to be sufficient. This virus has some particularly nasty properties with respect to human immune systems and with the wide variation in severity of infection, and there is at this point an enormous pool of the virus in the world today.
Some do not seem to understand that not everyone wants to risk their lives for an all too fragile non-resilient economy that constantly needs taxpayer-funded bailouts in different sectors from time to time even when there is no pandemic. The business model needs to be adjusted to be more self-reliant not just a welfare economy for the wealthy
Sure, let’s just thin the herd that much more. Remember, it’s the INTELLIGENT PEOPLE who will continue to practice social distancing and other proper precautions that will survive. It’s the whiny brats sniveling about “I wanna go bowling”, or “My hair is a MESS!” or “It’s unconstitutional that I have to follow some temporary guidelines!!” that will DIE…and GOOD RIDDANCE TO THEM!
We have a highly contagious deadly disease and the anti science Republicans blow it off like its a cold which is why we are working on our second hundred thousand dead from a preventable disease.
Washington (CNN): President Donald Trump called Democratic North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper on Friday and insisted on a full Republican convention this summer with no face masks or social distancing, according to a spokesperson for the governor. “The Governor spoke to the President today. When the President insisted on a full convention arena with no face coverings and no social distancing the Governor expressed concerns and suggested a scaled back event with fewer attendees,” said Sadie Weiner, a spokeswoman for the governor, in a statement.

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (WDAF): A positive COVID-19 case has been confirmed after a crowded pool party in the Lake of the Ozarks last weekend. Photos of the pool party at Backwater Jacks went viral, drawing intense backlash from the public, health officials and government leaders. Friday afternoon, the Camden County Health Department was notified that a Boone County, Missouri resident who attended the party tested positive for COVID-19.
“The case arrived here on Saturday and developed illness on Sunday, so was likely incubating illness and possibly infectious at the time of the visit,” read a statement posted on the Camden County Health Department’s Facebook page.
