I saw he had his hand in his pocket. I told my sister he was relaxed and felt totally safe. I would suggest a policeman doesn’t keep his hand in his pocket if he’s nervous, anxious about the person he has under his power. He had his hand in his pocket. Plus, I see today that two other policemen were kneeling on his body.
Justice is supposed to be blind but for two centuries we’ve seen race, religion, and citizenship status play a huge role in the American justice system.
From Watts and elsewhere over the years, these criminal violations BY the police, are a disaster for justice and reason, but, rioting and looting, as opposed to “peaceful demonstrations” are not justified. The entire nation/community, whatever needs to resolve not to lose control of LEGAL protest. Which, when Watts erupted, I went to check on my (white) great uncle. His black neighbors were around his home with shotguns to PROECT THEIR NEIGHBOR!. And the VERY important point his neighbor made was that the rioters were OUTSIDERS. NOT members of the Watts community. I’ve seen the same thing in other riots since then, some as law enforcement, and as military anti-riot troop after the MLK assassination. Looters, and many “rioters” are indeed like vultures that sweep in after disaster. The looting and “activity” also takes place after natural factors like storms, earthquakes or floods. The blame of who the “thugs” are, Mr. President, requires more than ignorant blathering on Twitter.

Yes, all lives matter but the Black Lives Matter movement started to remind people they were not expendable.

And what did Trump tweet about this? Nothing until the rioting started and he had the opportunity to say something negative about black people.

Lindsey Graham has been asking older conservative judges to retire so Mitch can replace them with fresh right wing bots for the rest of their lives.

Can’t have it both ways Varvel. You can’t support the White Supremacist in the White House AND act surprised when things like this happen.
