I have heard that rising stars in his companies soon vanished. They weren’t going to show up the boss

Notice that the watchdog was barking at people outside the White House, but got replaced anyway…

A watchfish in a one gallon bowl is more to Trump’s liking.

IG’s get replaced. That’s not a problem; it’s the underlying circumstances that lead to it that can be problematic. The recent firing in particular looks suspiciously politically motivated, which should never happen. Other presidents have done this, but it wasn’t right then, either.

Here’s hoping that somebody in the White House starts whispering in the right ear about all the money to be made on the lecture circuit: “A million dollars a speech! Every time! All over the country! They’ll eat it up, all the adoring fans! Thunderous applause, shouts of hosannas, women fainting, strong men weeping! The adulation, the worship, the glory! And no work at all, the only thing you need to do is stand there, open your mouth, and let whatever bullshit’s on your mind at that moment come spilling out, unfiltered, the same thing you do every day anyway. Why, it’s a total dream job for somebody with your qualifications!”

One of my favorite all-time political cartoons was by the legendary Pat Oliphant, about the Bork hearings when he was nominated to the Supreme Court. The first panel showed a rabid junkyard dog, barking but “Bork! Bork! Bork!” instead of “bark.” (The dog in this toon looks like a mild-mannered puppy next to him.) The second panel, the Senate Committee is driving by in a dogcatcher truck, and Bork is now a cute li’l kitty saying, “meow.” I wonder if Rogers ever saw that Oliphant cartoon?

A pity none of you were screaming when Obama fired IG’s.

Put that goldfish on a leash and it would be a vicious enough animal to scare Bonespurs.

ONE, in 8 years, not 4 in 4 months. And Obama gave detailed reasons, not “I’ve lost confidence in him (because he’s investigating my administration)”
