Fun fact:They never showed a working toilet on any old or new Star Trek episode or movie until a few of the bridge officers were captured in one of movies and they were held captive in one of the bridge officer’s quarters and one of the cast members pushed a button and the toilet slid out from the wall and he used the toilet as a chair.

You’d think if they had the technology build the USS Enterprise that a toilet door that would automatically not open when occupied would be a snap.
