I’m not in the habit of naming animals that are going to end up on someone table. Giving them names makes it hard when their time on the farm can be measured in months.
If he’s working on a relatives farm, the only females he’s going to meet will be relatives. And, if he has lots of free time to go carousing, then they really didn’t need him to work there in the first place.
My parents were worried I was getting too serious about a high school girlfriend and start having sex too young. Then after I came out in college, they wished I had been sexually active with her…as if that would have changed anything. So parents, be careful what you wish for…LOL
Michael is walking down the aisle with a pig. A bunch of pigs are seated in one row of pews. with John, Elly, Lawrence, Elizabeth, Lyin’ Brian Enjo, and April seated in the other row.
My husband’s family named a cow “Freddie” and only about half the family was willing to eat Freddie-steaks. I’m not sure it was the name as much as their adopting him young and he’d hang out and curl up with them like a dog. They had big, annoying herds of cows that would charge them or escape the electric fence in bad weather at other times and could happily have eaten them with vengeance!Lynn’s Comments: My brother-in-law (the farmer) said, “Never name anything you’re gonna eat.” His pigs and miniature horses were safe, but the cow…well, she was never named.

Why didn’t Martha ask Michael for this important information before he left? Elly and John could have definitely said no and she wouldn’t be so happy.

Martha has nothing to worry about. All those eligible females Michael is meeting are pigs.

Nothing like spending some time on a farm to learn about the “birds and the bees” thing.

Man, I would have thought Michael would have given Martha that info already.

Martha, clingy little thing ain’t she? Hopefully Michael will get a clue and walk away.

Elly has a different facial expression in each of the first three panels, none of them “perplexed”.
