Unfair to Mr. Hoover, who actually was a pretty good engineer, who ran into a non-engineering problem, and just did mental fibrillation until his term ran out.
The Oxford Group, which has accurately predicted the last 16 presidential elections, says Trump will get 35% of the popular vote in November. [NY Times, 24 May 20. p.17]
I too dislike the comparison. Hoover got a bum rap because of the stock market crash and what followed. The crash was well on it’s way no matter who they elected. He just didn’t know how to counteract the situation. Look how many years it took FDR to correct it and a war to get us out of it.
During the great depression the city shacks people lived in were called “Hoovervilles”. Now they’ll be referred to as “Trump Towers”. His brand will live on forever.

It is unfair not to mention that Trump was the first to say during his inauguration, “STAY HOME, STAY SAFE”. They did. Period.

The simple fact is that the biggest economic crashes in US history were all brought about by Republicans, ‘29, ‘08, 2020.

Trump is not Hoover. He’s also not Mussolini or Hitler. He’s his own brand of evil and incompetence.

I wonder if Trump can stand still long enough for a portrait? A fuzzy picture of a fuzzy person.

Very unfair to Hoover. Being unable to deal with a crisis is a far cry from being willfully corrupt, sociopathic, and racist.
