Four years ago, at a rally, Trump told his followers, “If you voted by absentee ballot and don’t think they are going to count it, get another ballot and vote again, they’ll just toss the extra ballot.”

How do we know you can’t cheat that way? If it were possible, vote by mail would be mandatory and fully billionaire funded in all red states.

Show your work, Gorrell. Cite any works that support your “feeling” that voter fraud by mail happens in any statistically significant way. For that matter, cite any works that support voter fraud in general occurs in any significant way. Until then, it’s all “feelings” and has nothing to do with reality.

I voted once in Florida, and they didn’t count it. The US Supreme Court gave the election to Bush, and look where we are today.

In each case, that applies to only one party — the GOP. By the way, there are no cases of multiple-vote fraud By mail. That’s just another lie the GOP made up.

I’ve seen comic artists complain about the comments section. That since our comments are anonymous we can say what we like, any way we wish, without consequence. And I used to feel just a little bad for them.

Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington and Utah have conducted all elections by mail for years. If vote by mail didn’t work, wouldn’t we have seen a ton of fraud in these states?

With the ability to assign a unique identifier to every mail-in ballot that corresponds with an individual’s registration information for that state and district, what more does one need to validate a ballot? We all have gotten mail for someone that doesn’t live there cause 1) change of address didn’t get processed, 2) person died and the mailer didn’t know, 3) it’s junk mail. All the more important for voter registration records are updated. Imagine local authorities required to submit death certificates to the registrar’s office to ensure that individual is purged as a deceased voter. Imagine a requirement to de-register from a state when you move and is a pre-requisite to re-register in another state. So many possible solutions if partisan politics and “pro-small government” Americans weren’t so selfish. But lets keep pushing Right Wing conspiracies.

If there are even 1000 mail-in votes charged with voter fraud after the November 2020 election – you get my $25,000. If not, I get your $25,000. If you are going to blast these types of facts, where are your verifiable facts? This is just another attempt at justifying the Repulsican denial to a large segment of legal citizens their right to a free and open election. Where’s your concern for the thousands of voters in Georgia whose names were illegally removed from the polls by a Repulsican. Apparently voter fraud is OK if you belong to their party.

I live in Utah … a Republican super majority state … and we have had vote by mail for a few years with no issues. I love it because it makes it easy to vote for primary election and years when there might just be a vote for a school bond or city/county leaders. Plus, I feel my vote is more informed. I always went into the voting booth having done my research on the major races, but when it came to things like school board, state auditor, judge, I was unprepared. Vote by mail gives me an opportunity to research the less-publicized offices.

It’s no easier to commit voter fraud while voting by mail as it is voting at a polling place. That means, as long as the state employees, volunteers and officials at the polling places are honest and do their jobs, not very. And since voting by mail centralizes the process, there are far more eyes on the procedures than there would be at distributed polling places.

Anyone claiming election fraud has obviously not worked an election. Pitch in and help folks! Your local will be grateful for the help-

Oregon has had ballots sent out by mail for 20 years. You may drop them off or mail them back, your option, but mailing them does require you to buy a stamp. Because the GOP folks hated the idea and yelled so loudly, there have been a number of studies done about fraudulent votes before and after as well as between Oregon and other states. To only the GOP’s surprise, it turns out that there were (slightly) fewer instances of cheating after the change. Slightly because it was already very low.

Of course, I fully recognize that the GOP doesn’t consider facts when coming up with their slogans and rants, but for the rest of us, I hope this is a useful factoid.

Oregon has proven vote by mail is the cheapest, and SAFEST way to hold elections, written ballots, plus signature verification. Saw one study/report that said out of some 500,000 ballots, they found FOUR attempts at voter fraud. With Bonespurs we can count on 99 out of 100 votes being fraudulent. GO Diebold!
