I missed what the quote has to do with the toon outside of it being a show on PBS. The guy who made the quote was a loon… but maybe it would have been better to have him come out of the trashcan?

I don’t know… I just don’t think this is a good toon and can be taken wrong way too easily.
I don’t necessarily see what the issue is with a doctored report on a person’s personal biases.
I wonder how many people remember that Assistant Attorney General who was stalking a student at UofM because the kid is openly gay and was elected Student body president. He remained on Taxpayer payroll because he was using “his personal time” to make a slanderous blog and was only fired later when it was shown that he’d violated anti-harassment laws. The Republican AG was defending him as it being on his own time.
So using that same line of reasoning, can it be proven that the statements made by the guy during a chit-chat were funded by taxpayer dollars? Not that it really matters, cause we’re still funding plenty of biased churches.

When I was younger an English teacher wanted us to write a diatribe and I went with the “Sesame St is a communist plot to brainwash children” theme. It was based in Sarcasm. Who was the role model for capitalism? Mr Hooper the store owner. What happened to him? He died. Natural Causes? I don’t think so!. It emphasized “Sharing”. Do real ‘muricans Share? NO! If they don’t get what they want they take their ball and go home!……
