He showed no additional symptoms or worrying behavior overnight – other than defending himself so vigorously against the vets that they couldn’t even take a blood sample! All signs point to a reaction to the topical flea ointment, which would be set on fire angrily if I had any of it left. No more of that stuff, EVER!
Ever since Lily died we have been putting food out in her bowl for any cat that wants it. Last night Jora told me that the food was getting eaten faster the last few days. We suspect we found out why today when a gorgeous grey kitten, maybe 6-8 months old crossed the front of the driveway just as we got home. S/he is quite skinny and darted across the yard when Jora opened her car door so I’m betting that it will be a while before we find out anything about it other than it doesn’t have a collar. We had cleaned and disinfected the cat house on the front porch so the grey fuzzball has a place to hide, if s/he wants.
Found out today that the synchronous firefly tours in the Great Smoky Mountains have been cancelled for 2020. I checked their website because I put my name in the lottery for this year’s tour minth hs ago and hadn’t heard anything back. Oh well, maybe next year.
My dear Mega-Orb, I need to ask for help once more. My faithful little car (12 years old and yes, it’s called Kitty) has a worn-out ignition switch and a replacement is like $300 (I’ll know more tomorrow) and once again, anything helps.
