haha, yes- the universal struggle.

Also, it’s great that we drew the same character when we were younger.

In my case, it means the past art actually was worse. Which unfortunately doesn’t mean that the current art is good.

Or perhaps re-do the same piece with your improved technique—?

It’s hard to do.

Except of that joke of a heroine behind you, you’ll always be ashamed of that.

I’ve found the secret is not to improve.

My daughters are now 20 and attending a well known European university when not home on shutdown and are still Sailor Scouts.

And whatever else you do, don’t start thinking about it at night when you’re trying to go to sleep.

I’d be proud if I could draw any of that.

Believe me, I read an old comic book I made back in third grade, and the cringe was so real. A lot of things I draw, I hate right away and gain a new appreciation for them later. But anything from more than three years ago, I just want to burn XD

A few years ago, I went through an Undertale comic phase. Whenever I find anything from that unfortunate period, I try to get rid of it before anyone sees it. I love Undertale, but I could never draw the characters to save my life.
