Reminds me of an immediate supervisor I had above me. I had a group of 5 under me. When the workload would come in, we’d all see how heavy it was and how much harder and faster we’d have to work. I’d still get called to her desk to tell me to tell them they had to do just that. If I didn’t say anything to them, back to her desk I’d have to go to explain why I hadn’t wasted their time by calling them together. Later, they knew they needed to come to me as a group and we’d chat for a moment. She’d be satisfied. Oy!
Had too many performance reviews over my career span.So glad I don’t endure them now.I make others endure them. ( he he he)Might not be a manager, but I do evaluate other’s performance.

If you could grow up, you’d be a typical comic strip wife. Your brother would be a dopey dad prototype.

A three hour review. This will not end well. I guess we’re in for three seasons of this thread.

A good worker knows better than to butter up the manager. Best to smile and let the moment pass, over a cup of coffee.

One day a manager demanded a full status report every 15 minute. On the first one, he blew up, “You call this a status report?” I ignored him.
