Thus the reason for using a laptop , Larger screen and print. Looking at those small screens on smartphones will bite many in the butt with eyesight issues down the road ;-(
I use a magnifying glass when working on my cross-stitch projects. It hangs around my neck and has a light. I would not be able to see the work without it.
Sometimes that happens in print newspapers… the Barney and Clyde cartoon is so small and full of text in my newspaper that I have given up following it.
During the laborious chore of going through old photos lately, I’ve found my magnifying glass to be quite handy on the negatives, especially the newer (1990s) ones that are just tiny, especially compared with the really old ones that started out large…and kept getting smaller about each decade or two. And I have pics going back to early 1900s. With boxes, bags and bins to go through (as well as my own, I’ve inherited photos as family members have passed) it’s really making me thankful for the digital age. And, yes, I’ve learned to back them up…the hard way.
I haven’t seen the comics in the newspaper since the page size of the paper shrank again. The comics were too small before that, so I would hate to see them now.

In order not to struggle with that, I use Google zoom on my lap top.

The only problem I have with size is “Archie” on Arcamax. The Sunday editions are smaller than the dailies.

Which reminds me. Hey, we could use a zoom in button over here!

I’ve got a pair of 3x/6x goggles, very handy for reading the trending “paper saving” instructions that comes with new electronics.

Worse are the ones that get printed horizontally and you have to tilt your computer screen on it’s side to read the one big panel.
