Ronald Reagan: “Where free unions and collective bargaining are forbidden, freedom is lost.”

C’mon, righties, tear him apart. Church? Disgusted? Howie?

Tell us how wrong Reagan was.

The conservative darling and idol, Ronnie Reagan, was a past President of The Screen Actor’s Guild. He was really a RINO!

He was also the guy who fired air traffic controllers for union action.

Now, now Matt, and Anthony, let’s not actually make the “righties” THINK about anything, or see actual REALITY, or pay attention to the fact their “heros” will SHAFT THEM TOO!!

I saw one analysis that suggested that this action is actively illegal: violating both the “right to redress” and the “right to assemble,” as well as decades of precedent for collective bargaining, now seen worldwide as a critical requirement for a free society as a check against government. You’d think the right-wing would like that last part…

    Plus they’re defying Reagan.

    Isn’t that a capital offense for right-wingers?

And how have corporations changed since then, Howie, such that unions are no longer needed?

No, blindly following leaders much more a conservative trait, Howie.

That’s why as a general rule the Republicans all vote how they’re told by their Congressional leaders, whereas Democrats vote as told by their constituents.

Current example: Today there’s a Senate vote on adding a Republican amendment to a small business bill to gut the EPA’s authority to enforce The Clean Air Act. It’s currently supported by all the Republicans, plus the Democrats who are from coal-producing states.
