I’ll just say that I cancelled my subscription to my local paper because it was getting very thin and there were more and more ads and less and less news.

They actually found a paper that carries their strip?

Actually it was less and less ads that made the newspaper thinner. They went digital which contributes to the shrinking number of newspapers and poorer reporting of news. The burden falls on TV news and their 1-2 minute segments.

The boomer generation is probably the last one to read actual newspapers. I expect my local paper which I only get on line will go completely electronic in 10 years or less, perhaps 5 or less.

How do we know they’re fictional? What if they’re real, and it’s we readers who are fictional?

I went digital to eliminate the huge amount of paper that had to be recycled. Now I can read many digital papers for wider news coverage .

    It’s all part of post-modernism.
