Awe! Red you need to tell mom in person! Also, I’m missing the usual tribute to Memorial Day. Oh well.

“Is that a planet?”, is probably the most logical response for Mom to make in an attempt to tune in to Red’s interests. And I like Red’s reply of “voice activation circuit”, although the more common parlance today would be “voice operated switch.”

VOX means “voice operated transmission”. Your transceiver is normally on receive, but when you say something, it immediately switches to transmit. Hands free two-way radio communication.

A true American, Krantz would listen to Sousa marches to get pumped up before going out for his Shift as “white team” flight director.

I love this comic it brings back so many memories of growing up in the 50s and using our imagination for games and having such a wonderful time doing so. The games we played most of the kids today don’t even have a clue. Thanks Red and Rover for sending my back to the past today…..just wish I could stay there.
