If Shaky is distracted and his attention is diverted to Breathless, that could be the best thing that could happen to Edison, even though she might be momentarily disappointed and depressed…

Shaky is being drawn in tho’ it looks like he is advancing the notion of getting to know “Breathless” beyond the talking part. If there is heavy breathing she’ll sure live up to her “name”.

Two weeks?? I can’t help but wonder what Tracy’s reaction was when he learned Shaky had been bailed out and who paid the bail. If Edison does get more involved she runs the risk of encountering Tracy and Tracy realizing she’s the accomplice he has been looking for all this time.

Two weeks already huh? And no mention of Tracy being notified that Shaky is out on bail? If it were ME and the guy who A) tried to blackmail/extort my wife B) tried to murder me and C) damn near KILLED my wife… I’d be on him like flies on a pile of horse manure

That was a blunt question. She could’ve just asked if he was jam ‘cause jelly don’t shake like that. Or is it the other way round?

Some euphemisms are fairly ridiculous. Here’s two people who have been meeting in restaurants for conversation for two weeks. She doesn’t live at the restaurant and neither does he. They have, by definition, been “going out”. Yet, when he makes his suggestion, how does she respond? “Sure, we can go out.” If that means what we all think it means, they will actually be going in somewhere.

Yes. He does. If you keep a glass of milk on him, it turns into milk shake.

I’m curious about the background couple. That big guy must be a sugar daddy. ;-)

Does Edison know about this? Women like Edison, when scorned, have been known to burn entire cities to the ground, set nations to war, advance climate change, even make freight trains detour onto dirt roads! Some one needs to do something. Some one needs to call Dick Tracy!

The way I see today’s strip:

10:00 am Shaky leaves for “work” and says he’ll be home around 6.

4:00 pm Edison is happy. Only two hours more to go.

6:40 pm It’s gone past “around 6.” She’s wondering.

9:00 pm Now she’s concerned.

11:00 pm She fell asleep on the couch. He still isn’t home.

What, no Sunday comic? Where’d it disappear? This looks like a job for … A well known detective!

Since I knew someone would have a link, I came back and reviewed some of the thoughtful comments above that arrived since my bedtime.

Can someone solve this Minit Mystery and post the link to the backup site for the Sunday Strip. The one I used to do doesn’t have Tracy anymore.

How long before meek and mild turns to dangerous and wild ?

Last time this happened someone at the company managed to get the Sunday up by evening. Hope that can happen again.

Thing is, like any soap opera, one can miss a week or so in this strip and nothing will have happened. For the ultra curious though, DT does appear elsewhere.
