Cedar Waxwings are notorious for getting drunk on fermented berries in the fall. Many promptly fracture their skulls flying into walls, tree trunks, but especially windows. I’ve seen a dozen or so kamikaze Waxwings smack into a glass wall in less than an hour.
A friend returned from a sailing excursion with one that managed to find his boat miles from shore in the Gulf of Mexico… and fly head first into the mast!

Pyracantha berries don’t even need to be fermented! Don’t try this at home, if you’re a human.
